Mike Germershausen
Born April 27th 1977, I live in the wonderful, charming village of Illhaeusern in
Alsace, France together with my wife Claire and my two children.
|
I began my cooking career in a small gourmet restaurant in Lüneburg, Germany and
then went on to acquire additional skills at the Renaissance Hotel, Zürich, Switzerland.
I then had the exceptional opportunity of working with André Jäger, Chef of the
Fischerzunft in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. I was enormously influenced by André Jäger
and he has made a huge impression on my own culinary thinking and style of cooking.
Subsequently, it was then an honour to work for the Haeberlin family at the famous
Auberge de l'Ill in Illhaeusern and to gain valuable experience at one the world's
finest culinary temples. It was under Paul and Marc Haeberlin that I not only discovered,
but learned to love the Haute Cuisine of France.
From 2004 I put my cooking skills into practice as Chef of the Auberge Blanche Neige
in Alsace until Spring 2009.
Now it is my greatest pleasure to welcome you, my guests, to my own restaurant
Auberge de la Ferme Hueb and to surprise you with my culinary delights. My greatest
joy is for you to have a most enjoyable experience in this idyllic location.
